Tough Mudder

Team Constant were at it again the weekend of 2nd August, competing in Tough Mudder 2014 at Broughton Hall, Skipton, North Yorkshire.

In their most challenging event to date, they took on a 12 mile extreme obstacle course which is designed by the military to test all-round strength, stamina, teamwork and mental grit.

Only 75% completed the event. The team pushed themselves to the absolute limit and were delighted to all complete the gruelling course which is known to be one of the hardest events of its type in the world.

Andy Rogers – Contracts Manager said “It’s not a timed event, so racing times weren’t important, it was about helping each other to complete the course and the camaraderie. We all had a lot of fun and raised over £1000.00 for our two chosen charities Help for Heroes and British Lung Foundation.

Oliver Stirling – Commercial Representative said “We had trained hard for this event, but nothing really prepared us for running over rough rolling fields, through dense woodlands and into streams, bogs and pools of thick, heavy mud and clay, every step on this course felt like an obstacle in itself. Then we had at least 20 insane obstacles to get past!!”

The team really enjoyed the event and in doing so raised a respectable amount of money for two great charities. They have already signed on for next year in either Yorkshire or Dublin.
