Raising a cup for the World’s biggest coffee morning

Constant proudly supported Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ this September by organising a coffee & cake morning at their Head Office in Mexborough. They also provided an innovative and totally impromptu takeaway cake and coffee service for their mobile staff and neighbouring businesses which certainly helped to raise even more money.

The event took place on Thursday morning and there was a delicious variety of cakes on offer all produced by various members of their team.

Mick Dainty who helped to organise the event said “Sarah Hubery, wife of our senior Contract Manager Dean, is famous throughout South Yorkshire for baking the best cakes and one attendee who shall remain anonymous gave £50.00 for a slice of her stunning orange and poppy seed cake with chocolate sauce”

A raffle prize draw took place and other fundraising games which helped to raise well over £1,000.00 on the day.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Supports biggest fundraising event. Last year 154,000 people took part in the event raising £20 million for the charity.

MacMillan is a fantastic cause and all our team were really excited about hosting the event at our Head Office in Mexborough. It was great to see so many people come along and support us in raising as much money as possible for the charity. We all had a great time, it’s a brilliant excuse to get together with friends and colleagues and have a catch up while raising some money for a fantastic cause”.
